Financial Freakout

I met with the reception coordinators today, and found out that there is a substantial (to our budget) cost for the reception. We asked and asked before, but never got an answer about how much it would cost. I found out today that it will be upwards of $800 when all is said and done. Fortunately, that includes all drinks, napkins (engraved), plates and plastic ware, and service, as well as the expert advise and help of two wonderful coordinators. Unfortunately, it does not include linens. So, while I can take a few things out of our budget, $800 is a pretty stiff addition.

Long Time, No Post

After I finish my class, I will be gung-ho trying to get stuff done for the wedding. I did get the invitation parts ordered this week. We are going with a black Envelopment (5x5 pocket fold) with sage and ivory. Also, ivory envelopes. I'll post a picture as soon as I get the first one put together. I can't really describe it.

Besides that, I haven't done anything recently. I talked with the pianist today, and she is good to go. I'll touch base with the Reception Coordinator tomorrow and hopefully set up a time to get that worked out. I'm beginning to get a little scared, because it seems there is so much still to do, but Jason and I have both been too busy to do anything.

And my first bridal shower is this weekend! We already got two gifts in the mail. Whee!

Presto Chango

I checked the color of the Bridesmaid dress from below, and their Sage is WAY too dark. They don't have a comparable green, either. So, time for plan B. What do you think of this one?



The color is exactly the same as the tuxes (you can't tell from the pic, but it is), and they have matching Jr Bridesmaid dresses. I just need to find out how much it would cost. (The one below was $155 and $145 for Jr).
