i would say... "so work is more important than my wedding?" i am sure that the company would forgive her for not attending the conference or if it is a longer conference for missing a portion of it.
That is almost exactly what I said! Keep in mind, this is a home-party business (similar to Home Interiors) ... she is not required to go to this conference.
That totally sounds like something my mom would say or do. When she moved to Indiana she left on the 4th to drive there. I had Connor's 1st b-day party on the 7th, and she couldn't even stick around 3 days for it. She wanted me to move the party to New Year's Day, and my response was "Whatever!" Seriously, sounds like she needs to reprioritize... it's your wedding for goodness sake!
