To Veil, or Not To Veil?

So many questions to answer when planning a wedding. What are your guys' thoughts on veils?

I like a veil because then the father can lift it back. Kinda traditional. All depends on what you want.

BTW, let me know if you need to borrow/use/have/buy any of my stuff from our wedding. (like a veil) I won't be needing it anymore!

As I am not the most graceful person I choose to wear a veil just not over my face. I liked it that way and it made for great photos of my dad walking me down the isle with my face not covered by netting that would have just tickled my nose.

I hate veils. I think they look lovely on other people but it was definitely not "me." But it was important to Todd that I wear one so we compromised-- I wore it for the ceremony and SOME photos and took it off for the rest of the photos and the reception.

Not sure if this will help, but here are pics of what mine looked like. It was elbow length, 2 layers, and was fastened near the back of my head under my hair. It also had little crystals and pearls in it and a rolled edge. Ebay- $30! It didn't give me a headache, didn't fall out, and generally behaved (except for the pics outside where the wind was blowing). Of course, people have told me they like the pics where the veil is being blown around...

I'm not a graceful person, either, thus the question. I just can't picture myself wearing a veil. Jason and I have not discussed it, though, so I need to get his perspective on what he would like, too.
